Report: CA Man, 44, Faces Murder Charges In Hunterdon County Truck Stop Shooting

A Florida man was fatally shot at a Hunterdon County truck stop over the weekend, resulting in murder charges for the suspect, state police said.

Ricardo De Castro, 43, of Deerfield Beach, FL, was shot at the Pilot Travel Center in Union Township shortly before 12:40 p.m. Saturday, NJ.com reports citing state police.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and later pronounced dead, police said.

Meanwhile, David Rodriguez, 44, of Rialto, CA, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder following the incident, the outlet reports.

Rodriguez was being held at the Warren County Jail pending a detention hearing.
